Above is a simple list and you can give yourself hearts. The nice part is that you can revisit this list often until you’ve earned all five hearts ❤️💛💚💙💜.

Beautiful Body – Day 15 & 16

I’m ready to dive into the outer layer or skin. After all we spent days talking about beautiful organs. (Yes I said organs.) Are you prepared to hear the secret of having beautiful skin?

Naturally beautiful skin comes from what you consume & what is in your atmosphere.

My top three rules to eating clean also applies to having beautiful skin. I’ll show how they relate.

  1. Choose life when shopping. Food & skin care products should represent life. It’s the difference between choosing something that came from natural plant cells or test tubes (modified organisms). You can usually tell by the price. Example: Quality products take time to create therefore it may cost more. But it will save you money over time. (Ponder about that last part.)
  2. Educate yourself, be in the know. Learn to read labels for both the foods consumed to the cosmetics you use. Look up stuff! Most of us can Google. Simpler ingredient list has less to hide. Also the front of a package is designed to trick you into buying. (Bottom line.) However they can’t lie on the label. Example: I bought something that said all natural coconut but the word natural means nothing to the label and coconut was the last ingredient.
  3. Pure (raw), organic, whole should apply when shopping for products that you will eat or wear on your skin. Here’s the best part… you can buy wonderful products locally or make them yourself. One of the best facial mask is a mashed avocado. Unlike the store bought plastic tube filled with chemicals and avocado is the last component.

Simple ingredient list has less to hide.

Beautiful Body – Day 3 & 4

Welcome to a healthier, sexier & vibrant you 💚. The action of you taking time to read this blog and share its content is already a step in the right direction. The goal of BEAUTIFUL BODY challenge is to workout your organs. Yes I said organs. Did you know that the your digestive system deserves a regular fitness schedule.

Fitness for the organs? Everything you chew & swallow puts your esophagus, digestive enzymes & colon (the list goes on) into a synchronized routine of movement.

It’s pure genius, our internal system.

Eating Clean is the simplest non-diet program that anyone can incorporate into a busy lifestyle. It’s reconnecting to food and the gifts of nature & life. Everything you consume should be…

  • Simple, from farm to table
  • Raw, whole a.k.a. real food
  • Minimally processed & lightly handled
  • Void of preservatives or additives
  • Foods your grand or great-grand parents would recognize

Meal Prep is important when adopting this lifestyle because it’s not as easy to find whole-meals-on-the-go. And in a perfect world we could get our entire family involved but that might not happen today. Until then, start simple and begin with your meals. (Many of the women I coach & mentor have separate space in their fridge & cabinants just for them.)

Good food is a great workout for your digestive system. It will thank you by giving you energy & vitality.

Dance Fit: I got a real retro feeling with this one but I’m sure you can rock it at home 🙂

Confession, once you start incorporating clean eating you might notice regular fast foods might make you sick. I went out with my Ohana (family) and bit into a burger… OMG I felt like a oily & gross mess. My stomach was NOT happy with me. Almost as if it was saying, “Where’s the love? Why are you feeding me this junk!”

Beautiful Mind – Day 30


The best way to maintain what you’ve learned is to go out a teach others. Think about who you will invite to the BEAUTIFUL MIND challenge & be enthusiastic when sharing. By putting yourself in the teacher position you will create permanent & positive change.  (You probably remember me saying this on DAY 29.)

Help others.

Here’s some ideas to get you started…

  • Organize a cafè meet-up with a few friends and share your observations.
  • Got family or friends who live far? No worries, you can Google Hangout and meet-up online. It’s free.
  • Implement the challenge within your organization. (Specialty clubs like knitting, quilting, scrapbook, mommy & me, small biz or master mind group.

Guidelines

  1. You are the observer.
  2. Listening is a gift, all you need to do is witness their process.
  3. Use a timer & everyone shares the same amount. No exceptions but you all can choose the length of time.
  4. Never try to solve or figure out their situation. They must process on their own.
  5. Encourage them and stay positive.
  6. Keep the energy flowing and don’t sit too long on one person.  (Timers are awesome.)
  7. Let them know you have one expectation: Consideration.

Take it to the next level! There’s something powerful about stating your intention. Once you’ve organized your group let us know in the chat box. Then have your BEAUTIFUL MIND TEAM check-in daily and follow through with the daily prompts. Your meet-ups will be a casual way for them to relax and share. Consider once a week or at the beginning & end of the month.

We’ve almost competed the 30 Day BEAUTIFUL MIND challenge. As you reflect on Day-3 think about one person who can benefit from these post. Share with them about your beautiful mind  transformation and invite them to try it out. You can start them off on DAY 1 and encourage them. 

Experience has taught me that both permanent & positive change happens when our thoughts reflect our potential. (Thoughts become things.) The sooner you share your journey you switch from learner to teacher and your new mindset becomes a healthy habit.

Foodie Fit: for Sunday’s meal prep idea. This includes a shopping list & all the recipes for each dish. You can substitute or swap out any of theses.

Beautiful Mind – Day 25, 26, 27

    
Desire is just the start but we all need motivation outside of our circle of friends. (Why?) Because a persons feelings for you can often cloud sound advice. Most times our friends don’t want to offend us since they have to live with us but a coach or mentor has nothing to loose. So what’s the difference between a mentor, coach & program?

Mentor is a wise advisor who can choose to take you under their wings in which case you become their protégé. They’ll mold and shape you into their version of a mini-me and you benefit from their years of experience, connections & unlimited wisdom. The downside is that you become their footstool for awhile but the upside is that you usually don’t have to pay for their assistance.

Coach is a person who will train you and provide motivation to get you to perform at your best. Often you will create such a strong bond that the choices you make will be based off your feelings of not letting them down.  You trust them and in return they will help you reach your goal. The downside is that you have to pay for their professional teaching and better coaches have a higher rate. The upside is their consistency and passion that drives us to the finish line.

Program is a Do-It-Yourself or DIY type of self motivated session. It’s often cheaper (or free) and can consist of worksheets, specific blogpost, monthly challenges, journal entries, app or private web pages for accountability. There’s little to no conversation unless you initiate a discussion. The downside is that you can feel alone in the process but the upside is that you might not want someone up in your business and you want to take your time.

You get what you pay for.

How to choose? Time is money, you’re paying for their time and attention. The difference is similar to private school vs public school and the outcome depends on your participation. (Private school classrooms aren’t as crowded yet public schools are often over-crowded.) Another comparison is personal trainer vs fitness app where both are helping you stick to your plan but the greatest difference is the accountability. It really is based off of how much attention do you want and are you willing to pay for it. 

  • Write down your big goal.
  • Research options according to price point.
  • Choose one that fits your budget, lifestyle & goal setting.
  • Enroll and get started.

Use your gut or intuition when choosing a mentor, coach or program. 

When is it too much? If the trainer is making you feel uncomfortable or incompetent then pull the plug. If you’re putting in all the effort and are lacking results. If they constantly are adding new fees or additional charges and you feel like their ATM. If you notice a characteristic that offends you. (Always looking at your… earlobes. Lol)  Reconsider this transaction and find a better fit for you.

Beautiful Mind – Day 22

  
Tiding up that busy mind takes practice but with this simple exercise you’ll make it happen. You can do this on a regular basis to help you plan out your activities from most important to least. You can post your feedback in the comments.

  1. This is also known as a brain dump and the idea is to make a list of everything that you need to do.
  2. Then grab a marker for each category and circle the word that corresponds.
  3. Finally, rewrite that list but in columns: Self-care, Family, Work, Fun, Give.
  4. If there are words left without a category you can decide to trash it (because that thought doesn’t serve you) or release it (there might be things on your list that isn’t your responsibility.
  5. What category has the most? Least? Which one would you like to do more in? Least? Are you surprised by your list?

From the new list, step 3, you can create a schedule around that things that matter most. However, be careful of the rabbit holes or the thoughts that take you away from your purpose. I truly hope that fitness is on your list.
